To our valued primary care patients:
An important part of maintaining continuity in your care and offering you the best possible service is keeping you fully apprised of new developments in our practice. On that note, we wanted to inform you about some upcoming changes.
Our physician colleagues in the primary care area of our practice, Dr. Anne Gonzalez and Dr. Rachel Kelly, have decided to pursue a different business model through which they will deliver primary care outside of A Woman’s View. These physicians as well as the remaining primary care providers, Karen Gimblet, F.N.P., and Alicia Icenhour, P.A., will no longer be affiliated with A Woman’s View after July 31, 2021. We appreciate their service and wish them well in this new phase of their careers!
A fifth member of our current primary care team, Kim Rector, F.N.P., will remain with A Woman’s View as a gynecology practitioner.
Following the decision of our primary care providers, our management team conducted a comprehensive review of options moving forward. After much consideration, we have decided, for the time being, to not hire new primary care providers to replace this team. We have concluded that re-focusing our mission on obstetrics, gynecology, and other specialized women’s healthcare services will best serve our patients and our community at this time.
We want to make sure you know you can count on us as your OB/Gyn provider of choice—now more than ever!
Embarking on this new mission will involve a near-term transition. A Woman’s View understands that patients may find this change to be inconvenient or even unsettling. We will make every effort to assist current primary care patients with the transition.
This help will include accommodating medical record transfer requests, sharing information about other primary care options or providing information about the potential to continue a relationship with our current primary care colleagues once their new model and service location are fully established. We ask that all requests for medication refills be called directly to your pharmacy. We will promptly respond to all pharmacy requests.
All women’s healthcare services, including obstetrics, gynecology, mammograms, bone density scans, labs, and weight management, will continue as usual, but primary care will no longer be available at A Woman’s View after July 31, 2021.
We thank you for your understanding and patience as we complete this transition and, as always, we welcome your questions!
Yours in good health,
Your Team at A Woman’s View
