Ultrasound
Ultrasounds, which use high-frequency sound waves to capture images inside of the body, have become a regular part of prenatal care. They confirm fetal heartbeat and a uterine pregnancy early on, and later, ultrasounds screen for fetal growth, placenta location and umbilical cord, as well as the baby’s anatomy and general health.
We also use ultrasounds to diagnose a variety of conditions affecting the organs and soft tissues of the body. We can find the causes behind pain, swelling and infection in the abdomen and pelvic area.
Ultrasounds are considered safe for you (and your baby, if you’re pregnant) when used for medical purposes. The technicians at A Woman’s View are certified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography and state registered in OB/GYN.
